The Meeting Street Scholarship Fund in partnership with Meeting Street Schools is excited to announce the four Scholarship recipients who will be interns this summer.
“These exceptional recipients earned this opportunity, and we’re excited for them to gain invaluable work experience that will better position them for their future careers,” said John Huber-MacNealy, managing director for the Scholarship. “They have a fresh perspective and curiosity, and we’re proud to invest in their potential. We can’t wait to see their impact on our education work.”
TIFFANY DANG
Tiffany will start her junior year at the University of South Carolina – Columbia this fall. She’s majoring in marketing and management and has a 3.78 GPA. She will support program efforts as part of the Meeting Street Scholarship Fund team, including helping with the Celebration Summit, finalists and application data system updates.
“Last year, when I applied for this internship, I received valuable feedback that helped me improve my performance and attention to detail,” Tiffany said. “I took this feedback seriously and used it as a learning opportunity. It motivated me to reapply this year as a stronger candidate.”
TAMIA ROBINSON
Tamia Robinson will start her sophomore year at Clemson University this fall. She’s majoring in mechanical engineering and has a 3.75 GPA. She will support the Meeting Street Schools academic team, such as creating AI lesson plans, launching classroom libraries and providing support for Launch Day.
“I want to intern with Meeting Street Schools because I want to help students who need support to be successful,” Tamia said. “I’m inspired by how Meeting Street Schools centers itself on not only academics but also the personal growth of its students and families … Through my experience in the Teacher Cadets program, I was reminded how important it is to have high expectations for all students.”
CALEB HARGROVE
Caleb Hargrove will start his junior year at the University of South Carolina – Columbia this fall. He’s majoring in political science and has a 3.44 GPA. He will support communications efforts for the Meeting Street Scholarship, such as writing blog posts, creating social media posts and assisting with newsletters.
“I want to intern with Beemok Education to contribute to an organization that has greatly supported my educational journey,” Caleb said. “I want to work with the communications team because I want to learn and grow my ability to tell the stories of individuals and groups who are making a difference in their own lives and in the lives of others.”
LILLIAN SMITH
Lillian Smith will be a senior at Wofford College this fall. She’s majoring in international affairs and has a 3.83 GPA. She will support the Meeting Street Schools operations team, such as assisting with the classroom libraries project, the policy handbook and an inventory system.
