Scholarship selects 10 Campus Leaders

The Meeting Street Scholarship Fund has selected 10 of its top recipients to be Campus Leaders for the 2025-26 school year.

The Campus Leader program allows Scholarship recipients to help their peer recipients maintain their Meeting Street Scholarship eligibility by fostering positive college experiences. This includes weekly communication, sharing campus resources and hosting in-person events.

“The Campus Leader program empowers students to adapt, connect with peers and build confidence for academic success,” said Shila Bair, program director for the Scholarship.

The Campus Leader program is available at four college campuses that enroll the largest number of recipients: Claflin, Clemson, College of Charleston and University of South Carolina – Columbia.

Scholarship recipient Tiffany Dang is a junior at the University of South Carolina, and this is her second time being selected as a Campus Leader. She said she wanted to be a Campus Leader again because it’s an opportunity to create a tight and comfortable community for the new freshmen cohort.

“I know how hard it can be to get used to being away from your friends and family and living by yourself for the first time,” she said. “So having someone to support you through it all can be really helpful. It’s rewarding for me to be able to be that someone for the incoming students at University of South Carolina.”
