The Scholarship
Who we are
The Meeting Street Scholarship Fund is an innovative public-private partnership that helps hard-working students pay for college without taking on significant debt.
High-achieving students with demonstrated financial need who maximize state and federal scholarships and financial aid still owe more than $10,000 annually on average for college tuition, housing, food and fees.
Our Scholarship covers that gap, eliminates the need for burdensome student loans and enables students to pursue college dreams.
Private donors fund the Scholarship in 14 Legacy counties while South Carolina has committed $18.7 million in public funding to pilot the expansion of the Scholarship to the remaining 32 Expansion counties starting with students graduating from high school in spring 2027.
