The Meeting Street Scholarship Fund team is letting applicants know within two weeks of applying whether they are finalists for up to $40,000 for college.
FAFSA Submission Summaries, or the document that shows whether students are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant, weren’t available until March, and that’s significantly later compared to prior years.
“We want to help families make informed decisions about their college futures, and the best way we can do that is by evaluating applications quickly to determine whether they are eligible for this life-changing scholarship,” said John Huber-MacNealy, senior program director for the Scholarship Fund.
The Scholarship Fund team has sped up its application approval timeline for prospective applicants from monthly to every two weeks.
“The sooner you apply, the sooner you’ll know whether you’ll receive up to $40,000 for tuition, housing, fees or food,” Huber-MacNealy said.
The Meeting Street Scholarship Fund does not have a limit to the number of scholarships it will provide; every single student who qualifies for it will receive it.
We have multiple guides to help families navigate the FAFSA process. We also have this straightforward list of requirements to help prospective applicants determine whether they qualify.
